How Development is Displacing Us Out of Our Neighborhoods

Throughout Cincinnati, neighborhoods that historically have been predominantly Black or poor are now the target of developers who want to profit from remodeling and rebranding their communities. When rents and property taxes go up, people are forced out. How does this happen? What are the signs? What can we do about it?

Join us as we discuss some of the recent and upcoming capitalist developments that are making people homeless, destroying community ties, and disproportionally harming Black, brown, and working-class people. Thoughts on what’s happening in West End, Walnut Hills, Avondale, Price Hill, Northside, or your neighborhood? Please share with us over a potluck meal. Feel free to bring a dish or just yourself!
