Tamar Eisenman is an Israeli female guitarist, singer-songwriter, and producer. Tamar was born in Jerusalem and spent two years in San Francisco as a child. There at the age of six, she started playing the guitar when exposed to new country and American folk music that was planted deep in her hands. A decade ago when she began publishing her music, mainly in English, major industry labels claimed singing in English in Israel has no commercial potential. Thus, Tamar released her first EP independently, and within weeks, her music was spread nationwide by word of mouth with no official label behind her. Tamar has released five studio albums and joined hundreds of collaborations with leading artists as a guitarist, singer and producer.
Tamar’s meticulous sound and guitar playing style are mainly known for creating bluesy riffs with a funky twist. Her workshop will showcase her unique talents through playing and discussion where she will share her creative methodological process from the birth of a song to its final production stage. With live examples using guitars and loopers, Tamar will lead discussions from a philosophical point of view on the creative process as well as gender aspects along with an enjoyable, musical colorful spirit to it all.
